Introduction

This article follows on from Explore the Imagery Page - Light Table. If you haven't viewed this article, it is recommended you do so before continuing because some important concepts are introduced and demonstrated there. |
The Image Gallery provides the means to view an entire Collection in one go. Images are displayed in the form of large thumbnails. This is useful where there may be a need;
- For a quick visual image scan of an entire Collection e.g. to identify a specific image or depth range
- To create Imagery e.g. where an image has been archived (deleted) and a replacement image is to be uploaded.
- To archive an image or to archive a batch of images in one go.
- To provide/replace Imagery Names in one convenient place.
Follow along and open www.imago.live and click Try It Now!

The selected image in Gallery view is not replicated on the Light Table. The selection only applies to actions in the Gallery view. |
Returning to the Datasets Browser Panel let's select the Dry Image Type too:
Both Image Types appear as thumbnails alongside the relevant start and end depth.
Let's take things a little further by turning Editing On:
It is possible to add new Imagery with relevant start and end depths (1) and then click Create Imagery (2):
Why do this? Perhaps the Collection (drillhole in this case) has been extended and new imagery is available. Using the above example, the Gallery displays place holders for the images:
Image Tools or Imago Connect could be used to upload the associated images.
Each Image has a small trash can overlayed. Clicking this will archive the image.

Display More than One Collection
So far we have been displaying one Collection in the Image Gallery. To display more than one Collection, it is simply a case of selecting the other Collection(s) from the Browse Workspaces Panel:
And of course, this applies to List View also.
