Merge Imagery Types |
Introduction
This article describes how to merge Imagery Types using Image Tools.

Not all Image Tools require a selection(s). |
To access Image Tools, click My Workspaces from the top-right dropdown menu:
From the Settings Options on the left-hand side, click Image Tools:
Click the Arrow to the right of Selected to access an option.
Merge Imagery Types
As the name implies, this option merges two Imagery Types.

For any Imagery Type merge, it is important that the following conditions are satisfied:

Example
Over time, there may be Imagery Types each associated with separate Projects but there is now a need to merge these Imagery Types into one. These Projects are, say, Area One and Area Two and Imagery Types for Area Two are to be merged into Area One:
The Imagery Types satisfy merge conditions. They have:
- the same name
- matching Image Types (Dry and Wet).
From Image Tools, select:
- Merge Imagery Types.
- The Imagery Type that is to be merged (Core Boxes Area Two (Wet, Dry)) in this example.
- The Imagery Type into which the above is to be merged (Core Boxes Area One (Dry, Wet, Dry Uncropped, Wet Uncropped)) in this example. A summary of Image Types is provided for the selected Imagery Types.

- Click Merge. A Summary Dialog is displayed:
Click Merge to begin the process. When complete, the merged Imagery Type is removed because it now exists in the the destination Imagery Type. Area Two no longer exists.

All Attributes and Features associated with the source Imagery Type are maintained within the newly merged Imagery Type. |
