Sometimes when you upload an Image to Imago it's rotation is displayed differently than in a Windows image viewer. The reason for this is that most image viewers apply the EXIF metadata of an image when rendering, however Imago does not read the image EXIF (rotation) metadata, rather it ignores all EXIF metadata and shows how the image is natively displayed. This is for preserving original data and preventing complications related to EXIF .
To create a version of the images that have the EXIF metadata applied to the image physically you can use the following process with IrfanView.
Download and install Irfan View - > https://www.irfanview.com/
Then you may run BULK processes to convert the images based on their metadata information (EXIF ), you may want to use the windows image app to rotate them to your desired orientation before proceeding.
First go to ‘Options’ then click ‘Properties/Settings’. Select “auto-rotate’ for Jpegs and press "OK".
Go to File -> Batch Conversion/Rename. Select the folder with your Images that are rotated (Windows image viewer) but won't display correctly in Imago Software.
The batch conversion window will appear.
After processing, all images in the processed folder will no longer have any EXIF metadata, instead that data will be represented visually as a new copy of the image with the orientation applied.
